First Fruits Bring Blessings and Financial Overflow

First Fruits Bring Blessings and Financial Overflow

The first fruit offering brings extra blessings and financial increase.

📖 Proverbs 3:9-10 says:
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

What Is First Fruit?

  • It is the first part of your harvest that ripens.

  • In Bible times, people gave this to God before anything else.

  • It showed obedience and trust in God.

  • The Hebrew word bikkurim means “promise to come.”

Why It Matters:

  • It was a way to thank God.

  • It showed the Israelites trusted God to provide more.

  • It was like planting a seed for the future.

  • God promised to bless everything that came after.

What First Fruits Teach Us Today:

  • Giving first fruits invites God into our lives.

  • Open hands are ready to give and receive.

  • It proves God is our first priority.

  • It shows we are thankful for His blessings.

  • It builds our faith and helps us grow spiritually.

Tithes and Offerings Matter Too

Tithing means giving 10% of your income.
Offerings are extra gifts given from the heart.

Tithing shows:

  • Obedience to God

  • Integrity and honesty

Offering shows:

  • A cheerful heart

  • Your true character

📖 Key Scriptures:

  • 2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under pressure, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

  • Deuteronomy 14:22 – “Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year.”

First Fruits Are Also Prophetic

  • Bikkurim means “promise to come.”

  • First fruits are not just gifts—they are signs of what will come.

  • Giving first fruits is a spiritual investment.

  • It shows faith that God will bless the rest.

  • It is called a prophetic offering because it points to future blessings.

Key Bible Verses About First Fruits

📖 Leviticus 23:10
“When you come into the land which I give you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.”

📖 Proverbs 3:9-10
“Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.”

📖 1 Corinthians 15:20-22
“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”

📖 Ezekiel 44:30
“The first of all first fruits of every kind and every contribution of every kind, from all your contributions, shall be for the priests: you shall also give to the priest the first of your dough to cause a blessing to rest on your house.”

📖 Romans 11:16
“If the part of the dough offered as first fruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.”

Giving our first fruits is more than just a habit.

  • It is a way to grow in faith.

  • It shows love and trust in God.

  • It brings blessings to every part of our life.

  • And it reminds us that all we have comes from Him.
