🔥 Holiness, Revival & Readiness

📝 Sunday Service w/ Pastor Jose Summary Spiritual Season and Divine Direction The Holy Spirit revealed to the speaker that many congregants are entering a season of turmoil due to disobedience to God's direct commands God expects people to honor Him with everything He provides, including jobs, children, homes, and possessions Believers must maintain holy atmospheres in their personal spaces and avoid compromising their faith through entertainment choices or associations Holiness and Separation from Worldly Culture Christians are called to be set apart and lead by example in their dress, behavior, and lifestyle choices The church must reject compromise and maintain standards that reflect God's holiness rather than conforming to secular culture Believers should create welcoming atmospheres for God's presence in their homes and personal spaces False Prophecy and Media Responsibility A false prophet in Africa incorrectly predicted the rapture would occur on Septem...

📝 Wed Bible Study on Discipleship Notes

Image
📝 Wed Bible Study on Discipleship Notes Key Points - (More detail after this section) Recent internet predictions about the rapture caused real harm including suicides and people selling possessions, demonstrating the need for believers to pray rather than mock such situations since the Bible clearly states no one knows the time or hour. Acts 11:26 was referenced to show that "Christian" was a term first given by the world to describe disciples in Antioch, but Jesus commanded to make disciples, not Christians. Matthew 12:36-37 was discussed to explain that believers will give account for every idle word spoken, as words carry weight and can either edify or destroy. A testimony about a woman who spent 31 minutes in hell revealed that many Christians were there for dishonoring their marriages with their words, showing that God takes covenants seriously. Proverbs 6:16-19 was examined to demonstrate that God views gossip as equally serious as abortion, considering both a...

Church Meant for Truth, Not Entertainment or Compromise

Image
Key Points ( Detail in next section ) The church exists to train disciples, glorify God, and reach the lost through proper biblical education and sound doctrine rather than serving as a place of entertainment. Transformation requires dramatic change in form and appearance, with believers called to be imitators of Christ who demonstrate evidence of life change through their actions. Truth from God's word sets believers free from sin, guilt, and eternal bondage, requiring personal responsibility to resist temptation and maintain deliverance. Godly character involves the ability to discern right from wrong according to God's standards rather than personal preferences, with the Holy Spirit enabling supernatural resistance to temptation. Charlie Kirk's assassination exposed the current state of the American church and its failure to stand against the woke agenda that promotes same-sex experimentation and gender confusion. Christian nationalism seeks to advocate God into gov...

Called to Be Men of God: Living Out God’s Purpose

Image
Understanding God's Call on Men God has not left men without direction. From the beginning, He created man in His image (Genesis 1:27) and entrusted him with leadership, stewardship, and responsibility. Being a man of God is not about worldly definitions of strength or success, but about aligning one's life with God's Word. Strength in Character, Not Just in Body Paul reminds Timothy, "But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness" (1 Timothy 6:11). True strength is not measured in physical might but in spiritual maturity. Men of God are called to discipline their hearts, pursue holiness, and set an example in their families and communities. Servant Leadership Like Christ Jesus demonstrated what true leadership looks like: serving others. He declared, "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve" (Matthew 20:28). Men of God are called to lead with humilit...

Discipleship Beyond Religion (Sept 17, 2025) - Wednesday Night Bible Session

Image
Discipleship versus Denominational Religion Pastor emphasized that salvation costs nothing but discipleship will cost everything Jesus came to make disciples rather than create denominations like Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostals, or Jehovah's Witnesses Churches today have abandoned discipleship because true disciples become a threat to leaders with hidden agendas who prefer to keep people bound in ignorance Many religious institutions use programs instead of discipleship to maintain control over their congregations Fear of the Lord as Foundation of Wisdom Group reading of Proverbs 9:8-10 established that fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom Fear in this context means reverence rather than being afraid, similar to the respect shown when a judge enters a courtroom Disciples must be open and teachable learners who ask questions to avoid making mistakes as they mature spiritually Jesus as Teacher and Example for Disciples Matthew 4:19 was read showing Jesus calling ...

Discipleship: Identity Authority Power In Christ

Image
Key Points The church's purpose was defined as a place for salvation and correction rather than affirmation, contrasting it with venues that offer motivational speeches and entertainment. Prayer was offered for a deceased saint who died as a voice for the voiceless, asking God to give strength to his family and ensure his death would not be in vain. Ephesians 4:17-24 was read as the foundational scripture, instructing believers to live no longer like Gentiles who are hopeless and confused, but to put on their new nature created to be like God. Ministers were called to educate rather than entertain congregations, with Pastor Jose expressing being moved by the assassination of a 31-year-old man who spoke boldly on college campuses. Immaturity in God's people was identified as a major problem in today's churches, with Pastor Jose stating he sees more devils in church than saints. Two reasons were given for the death of Charlie: it was God's will, and the intercessor...

Discipleship: The Cost, the Call, and the Everyday Way

Image
Discipleship: The Cost, the Call, and the Everyday Way Discipleship isn’t an add-on to Christian life—it is the Christian life. In the teaching above, the speaker keeps returning to one simple center: Jesus called people not to a label but to a lifestyle. He didn’t ask for admirers; He formed disciples . 1) The Blueprint: Jesus’ Great Commission “Go and make disciples of all nations… baptizing them… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Mt 28:19–20) Jesus didn’t send the church to collect decisions or fill baptism photos; He gave a process: Make disciples (reach people), Baptize them (public allegiance), Teach them to obey (lifelong formation). Baptism without formation is marketing, not mission. Jesus trained His disciples for years before He entrusted them to replicate the process. 2) Who Is a Disciple? The word “disciple” means student/learner/follower . A disciple adheres to a Teacher’s words and practices . Hearing without doing produces ...

⏰ Awake to God’s Calling 🙏

Image
Awake to God’s Calling Introduction Sleep is not only physical but also spiritual. Many live life half-asleep, missing God’s blessings and purposes. God sets a feast before us, but we snooze through it. The Call to Stay Awake Jesus warns against spiritual drowsiness: Matthew 26:41 – “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Life is like missing your own party because you were asleep. Blessings walk past us when we fail to stay spiritually alert. Scripture’s Alarm Clocks Paul shakes the church awake: Ephesians 5:14 – “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” Jesus’ warning about being found asleep: Mark 13:36 – “Lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.” Proverbs’ rebuke of slumber: Proverbs 6:9 – “How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?” Dangers of Spiritual Sleep Missed seasons: like a farmer sle...
