Living Holy Lives with Integrity and Truth

Sunday, August 10, 2025 w/Pr. Jose Key Points Holiness should be evident in all aspects of a believer's life, including digital communications, social media presence, and business dealings, as stated in 1 Peter 1:15. The importance of integrity in everyday actions was emphasized, noting that Christians should not engage in dishonest behaviors like theft or misrepresentation. Believers should strive to represent God through their conduct, avoiding negative behaviors like division, pride, and unnecessary conflict within the church community. Temptation serves as a monitor of character strength rather than something to be prayed away, with personal responsibility emphasized over blaming external factors. The mind was identified as one of the most powerful resources God has given believers, with the principle that "wherever the mind goes, the heart follows." Four types of knowledge of God were outlined: intellectual knowledge (gained through study), experiential knowl...

Equal in Spirit, Distinct in Design: A Biblical Vision of Men, Women, and God’s Image

Image
From the beginning, Scripture shows that the human spirit is the same in both men and women. In Genesis, God breathes life into humanity, and in 1st Thessalonians we see that we are more than flesh; we are spirit, soul, and body, made to belong to Him. The spirit needs a physical body to live and act in this world, and God chose to clothe both male and female in human flesh so that together they could bear His image on the earth. Male and female were both entrusted with the stewardship of creation. In Genesis, God blesses them and commands them to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Dominion is not given to man alone or to woman alone, but to both together. Two distinct forms—male and female—are woven into one human calling. They reflect both the unity and diversity within God’s own heart: one purpose, expressed through two distinct embodiments. As they walk in harmony, they become a living expression of God’s love and reign, exercising wise care over the world He ma...

✝️Covenant Priesthood Discipleship Holiness and Spiritual Warfare

Key Points - Summary is in next section below The term "Christian" appears only three times in the New Testament, first mentioned in Acts 11:26 where disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Being a Christian requires believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died for sins and rose from the dead, while being a disciple involves following Jesus and living out his teachings daily. Jesus outlined three specific requirements for discipleship in Luke 14:27 and Matthew 16:24: deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow him. Discipleship involves bearing a cross according to God's purpose for each individual, with higher ministry positions requiring greater crosses and consecration. God's kingdom operates on principles of sacrifice, covenant, and obedience rather than education, business success, or worldly achievements. Making a covenant with God through sacrifice attracts God and the Holy Spirit, enabling believers to move the hand of God and oper...
