From Darkness to Light: Breaking the Wall Between You and God

Image
  1. Sin Creates Distance from God Sin, especially repeated sin without sorrow, builds a wall between a person and God. This wall makes a person feel far from God's presence. The spirit suffers because it was made to be close to God. 2. Sin Damages the Body, Mind, and Soul Drugs cause mental confusion, anxiety, and addiction; they harm the body and make the soul feel empty. Alcohol affects the mind and mood, hurts the body, and brings guilt to the soul. Gluttony (eating too much) causes health problems and makes people focus on pleasure, not God. Lust and sexual sin bring confusion, shame, and pain to both the body and soul. 3. The Deep Impact of Sexual Sin Sexual sin is very harmful—it hurts the body and spirit. It brings shame, guilt, and emotional pain. It separates a person from God’s love and peace. 4. Repeated Sin Hardens the Heart Sin makes the heart spiritually weak, dry, and far from God. Over time, sin clouds the mind and blocks G...

First Fruits Bring Blessings and Financial Overflow

Image
First Fruits Bring Blessings and Financial Overflow The first fruit offering brings extra blessings and financial increase. 📖 Proverbs 3:9-10 says: “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” What Is First Fruit? It is the first part of your harvest that ripens. In Bible times, people gave this to God before anything else. It showed obedience and trust in God. The Hebrew word bikkurim means “promise to come.” Why It Matters: It was a way to thank God. It showed the Israelites trusted God to provide more. It was like planting a seed for the future. God promised to bless everything that came after. What First Fruits Teach Us Today: Giving first fruits invites God into our lives. Open hands are ready to give and receive. It proves God is our first priority. It shows we are thankful for His blessings. It builds our faith and ...

Your Body is a Temple of the Holy Spirit Elder Dave - April 2, 2025 @ 7PM - Bible Session Bible Verse Summary and Outline of Teaching is below Below is an outline following the list of bible verses and their meaning.  1. A Powerful Metaphor: Your Body is Like a Holy Temple Just as we would not damage a beautiful cathedral, we should not mistreat our bodies. Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We were bought at a price and must honor God with our bodies. 2. Honoring God With Our Bodies Treat your body with respect, like a holy home where God lives. Avoid harmful habits like smoking, excessive drinking, and drug use. These habits are like vandalizing God’s temple. 3. Sexual Purity and Respect Sexual immorality damages the temple from within. Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee from such sins because they are against your own body. 4. Caring for the Body Like a Garden Like a garden, your body need...
